Lofthus Signs / Lofthus Graphics
Having worked with OpenBoxDesign on a number of previous jobs, Lofthus Graphics were appointed to manufacture and install the exciting new Emergency Care graphic panels and signage.
The ECC is NHS Grampian’s latest health facility on the Foresterhill campus. It brings together a number of different departments under one roof and the initial brief was to investigate how patients could be more fully informed of what services were offered at the facility and how they would be treated during their stay.
OpenBoxDesign were keen to involve Lofthus Graphics a the manufacturing stage as they already had experience of the quality of materials used and the excellent customer service Lofthus Graphics provide. This is a revolutionary design in healthcare and moves away from traditional signage to information and process graphics which aim to actively involve and inform the reader – in essence they communicate the chosen message, create a sense of calmness and provide reassurance to visitors of what is happening.
Lofthus Graphics worked closely with OpenBoxDesign to ensure their design concepts would be represented using the best quality and most appropriate materials for the job. Lofthus Graphics project managed the manufacture and installation of all signs across
the Emergency Care Centre. The graphical elements are digitally printed onto aluminium composite in-house and applied direct to the wall. Some panels are folded round the walls to create a continuous sign.
The project were successfully delivered on time and within budget.
“Signage is a great success. We have had great positive feedback from Hospital Management, Staff and the VIP’s. Thank you very much and pass on our thanks to your great team”
